These are my answers to the top 10 questions couples ask me.
1. Are you available on our wedding date?
I need to check my calendar. You can either call or fill out my contact form.
2. What are your prices?
All my prices are posted on my website's prices page.
3. Do you offer nonreligious ceremonies?
Yes, most of the weddings I officiate are nonreligious, unless a couple request a religious ceremony. We can include religious symbolism and gestures such as the Jewish wedding tradition of breaking the glass at the end of the ceremony.
4. How do we purchase a marriage license?
You complete this marriage license application form then bring it to the city clerk in the town where one of you lives. If you don't live in the state or from another country you can take it to any city clerk's office. The clerk will give you a marriage license which you must give me the day of your wedding ceremony. I will complete the form and return it to the city clerk. The clerk will mail you a certified copy. This process takes about 10 to 14 days.
5. Do you have suggestions for places to have our wedding ceremony?
Yes, you can find a great list with photos and video of wedding sites and venues on my website. The prices range from free to expensive. Take a look at the Ceremony Sites page.
6. What services do you offer?
Officiating in Vermont and New York State's Adirondack.
Photography - I have a Bachelors in Fine Arts with a decade of experience. My photography
Floral Design - I am a licensed florist with extensive experience. My Flowers
7. Where do you officiate?
I travel throughout Vermont and New York Adirondacks. I can officiate vow renewals any where.
8. Which methods of payment do you accept?
Credit card and debit card via Paypal, check (if it is more than 30 days before your wedding) and cash that is hand delivered.
9. How much notice do you need?
I can officiate a ceremony with as a little as an hours notice. I don't recommend waiting until the last minute, the more time you give the more likely you are to reserve the date and time you want. If you are marrying on a Saturday and having lots of guests, the sooner you reserve your date the better. It's best to reserve your officiant right after you put your deposit down on your venue.
10. How do we hire you for our wedding?
You need to complete my contact me form and tell me which services you would like. After I receive your contact form, I will email you letting you know if I am available on your wedding date and time. Once you say you wish to hire me, I will send you a Paypal invoice. You need to pay my retainer of $150 to reserve your date.
I hope this is helpful. Email me if you have more questions.
